Get to Know SMURPHY through Pictures - All about his life

SMURPHY looking back Hold on, let me make sure no one is coming...

I don't like it when I get snuck-up on. I am a very skittish dog, I don't like loud noises like the vacuum cleaner, crashing dishes and especially thunder.

Thunder is the worst!

It's like the sky is growling at me and since I'm such a lovable dog I can't understand why anyone would growl at me...

I love my family!   They are the Greatest!

I had a family before, I don't remember much about them but they abandoned me. They dropped me off at the neighborhood mailboxes, and even though I waited there all day for them to return they never came back for me. I was so scared and sad... I was all alone! I hid in the bushes; too afraid to talk to strangers. I was very hungry, I hadn't eaten in days and I hardly had any fur.

When my new parents found me I was too scared to come to them or eat their food. It took my new parents all day to earn my trust and coerce me to eat and once I realized they were safe, good people I approached them.

Did you hear that?

You didn't?

Okay... just checking.

Alright, where was I?

Right, my previous life... well, enough about that. Let me tell you about my new family! SMURPHY holding football

My mommy is the greatest mommy ever!!!

SMURPHY and his mommy

This is my mommy. I look up to her; she is so sweet and kind, she looks out for me, feeds and walks me, she gives me cookies (which are my favorite!!!) And she is very patient.

When my parents first brought me into their home I didn't know how to climb the stairs. Actually, I was terrified of them! But my mommy taught me how to do that.

I look back at that first week & laugh at how scared I was.

My daddy actually had to carry me upstairs the first night... and back down the next morning (the stairs looked even scarier from the top) but that day my mommy taught me how to climb the stairs, one step at a time; actually taking my paws and placing them each on the step until I made it about four steps up and then she told me how good I was.

It took about a week of constant learning before I realized how easy that little task was. Now I look forward to going upstairs to bed each night!

I'm usually the first one there!!!

My mommy takes me on car rides!!!

SMURPHY's long tongue I used to be really afraid of the car - after all, it was a car that took me to those mailboxes that day, But I know my mommy would never abandon me so going for trips in the car is the best!

My daddy's pretty great as well!

This is my daddy (I'm in his lap) as you can see he loves me a lot and he doesn't mind my helping hold him down in his chair.  Everyone needs a daddy like mine!

My daddy loves snuggling with me (He has no problem sharing his pillow) and he plays with me. We play with stuffed animals (teddy bears and bunny rabbits) tug of war with old jeans and ropes and even though I am afraid to catch a ball, I have no problem running after it and bringing it back to my daddy to throw again. I'll do anything for my family!

They've given me the

best home

a dog can have!

My hopes are that every dog in the world can be lucky enough to find a loving family and a warm comfortable home like mine.

Oh! And there is one more thing about me you should know...

My mommy says my head always smells like Maple Syrup! Funny right?

Would you like to smell it?

SMURPHY bye

I hope you enjoyed reading a bit about me and the pictures my mommy has shared with you. I hope you continue through my site, watch  some of my favorite videos and come back often as I hope to be adding more videos, pictures and stories soon.

That's right, whenever this website gets updated with a new video, story or book, SMURPHY will send you an email to let you know!

And since SMURPHY hates spam, he won't sell or give away your email address to anyone else (not even his mommy)
